Our client Swansea University has scooped another award for its new website.
The university received the silver award in the best website category at the prestigious Heist education marketing awards in Manchester last night (July 11).
Weltch Media helped create the content for the new site, which also received a gold award in the AVA Digital Awards in the spring.
Our expertise in writing and editing, and our in-depth knowledge of the higher education sector made us the ideal choice to work on this major project over several months.
With experience of similar projects at other universities in England and Wales, we pulled together a small team of writers to work through the hundreds of course-profile pages and other parts of the site.
The key was to provide lively, accessible content, in-keeping with the university’s style guidelines, and meeting the specific needs of individual academic schools and departments, while working to tight deadlines.
We have also worked with the university’s marketing team on its prospectuses and other publications.
Speaking earlier this year, the university’s web development manager, Nicola Parry, said: “We have been delighted with the service from Weltch Media. This has been a huge project, and creating content for the new site was a major task.
“From our initial meetings with Weltch Media, we were confident that we were in safe hands, and once we got under way, it was so reassuring to know we had such a professional team providing the content, so we could focus on other aspects of creating the site.
“I would have no hesitation in recommending Weltch Media for any similar project – their calm and professional approach and delivery to deadline was much appreciated by colleagues throughout the university.”
The Heist awards, sponsored by Havas Education, have celebrated excellence and innovation in education marketing for 27 years.
