We have been back in the virtual training room this week – running the first in a series of copywriting sessions for staff at Loughborough University.
The university’s web and digital team invited us in to share our experience and expertise with members of marketing staff in a half-day session yesterday (30 March), and we’ll be running further sessions for more staff in the coming weeks.
The invitation followed a highly praised course which we ran last year for City, University of London, building on our experience of major copywriting projects for universities, including Swansea and City.
The session covered: getting started; approaching the writing process; writing for different audiences; writing persuasively; and avoiding common mistakes.
Loughborough was named University of the Year at the WhatUni? Student Choice Awards in 2020, 2018, and 2015. It has also been named University of the Year in the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide twice.
Our senior consultant Andy Weltch and writer Mark Hawkins delivered the course via Zoom. “It was great to meet some of the brilliant team at Loughborough,” said Andy. “It’s always exciting to start work with a new client, and interesting to share thoughts and experiences with other communications professionals.”
