Our national hot rod racer Mark Shelper returns to action next Monday (27 May) – and stars on the meeting poster!
Mark’s Peugeot 206cc features prominently on the poster for the event at Hednesford Raceway in Staffordshire – the latest world championship round of the English series.
He has been out of action since March and has lost any realistic chance of qualifying for the world final. But he told us: “I’m looking forward to Hednesford after having a bit of time with the family and missing [the round at] Ipswich. Hopefully it’s a good meeting, but we need some luck as we’ve not had any recently!” 
The Weltch Media logo has been on Mark’s Peugeot 206cc since the start of the 2022 season, continuing our long-standing involvement in motorsport.
In the past we have supported Ben Power in the UK Legends Car Championship and James Holman in the Irish Championship. We’ve also backed James in several online iRacing events, and in 2018 we teamed up with Mendips Raceway to present the Weltch Media West of England Hot Rod Championship.
Mark made headlines in 2022 by being the only driver from the South West to qualify for the world championship final.
