Our much-praised media training service, run in partnership with our friends Memorable Creative Journalism (MCJ), is proving to be a hit online.

We ran a third session for RCN Wales via Zoom this week, after earlier sessions last summer and autumn.

The half-day was hosted by our senior consultant Andrew Weltch (whose background is in print journalism and PR) and broadcast consultant, Mariclare Carey-Jones (a highly regarded broadcast journalist, who also runs MCJ Documentaries).

A condensed version of our usual full-day experience, it included hints and tips, a look at how the media is dealing with the ‘covid’ world, and one-to-one media interviews via Zoom, as if for TV.

One of the delegates said afterwards: “I enjoyed the afternoon and I am sure it will be of benefit going forward”.

Comments after previous sessions included: “It was a really useful afternoon’s training”; “Really enjoyed the online media training … so informative and enjoyable”; “You both set us at ease and I felt it was a supportive environment”.

As well as running media training for RCN Wales with MCJ for several years, we have organised sessions for business leaders, sports competitors and administrators, and educators in schools and universities.

We always make sure the sessions are relevant to those taking part, and many participants find they are soon putting their new skills to use on TV, radio, online and in print.

We are now making our media training available via Zoom to all clients. If you’d like to know more, please email us info@weltchmedia.com

Our media training is designed to be affordable, useful, and fun. See what others have said, and check out this little video.
