Congratulations to our sponsored players Danni Wyatt and Nikki Caunce, who helped Torquay United Women to a 3-1 win over Devon rivals Plymouth Argyle Women yesterday [Sunday April 11].
There was a nervy opening 20 minutes in the friendly game at the Manadon Sports Hub, as the new-look team found its feet. But Ellie Bishop opened the scoring from the penalty spot after Danni was fouled by the keeper.
Ellie added the second goal and our former sponsored player Daisy Self scored the third. Lydia Huntley scored for Plymouth.
The result meant a double celebration for Nikki as it was also her birthday.
