Our short film Annalium 8: Sssss has been selected for screening at next month’s (April 2025) Bedford Independent Film Festival.
The film will be shown as part of a scifi programme on Saturday 12 April at 12.30pm in the Studio at the town’s Quarry Theatre.
It has already scooped several awards and nominations, including at the Wild Indie SciFi and Fantasy Film Festival in London, at the inaugural Indie Line Film Festival in Istanbul, Turkey, where it was named Best Short Film (No Dialogue), and at the Celynen Film Festival at Newbridge, South Wales, where it has received the award for Best Short Film.
Annalium 8: Sssss from Weltch Media and Annalium Films was jointly produced by our own Andy Weltch and the scriptwriter Rob Lancey.
Directed by Andrew ‘Griff’ Griffin, the film stars Francesca Louise White and Minaii Baelfire. Francesca is an award-winning actress, who had the main role in our popular lockdown comedy promo video With a T, and Minaii holds the distinction of being the world’s first Black Young Elsa in a stage production of Frozen.
