Our Danni Wyatt helped Torquay United Women to victory in the Devon FA Cup semi-final yesterday (Sunday 23 January), scoring one of the goals in a 4-0 win over Liverton United Ladies.
Weltch Media-sponsored Danni, who played the whole game, said “It was a great run-out – always happy to play the full 90 minutes and to get on the scoresheet.” The other scorers were Ellie Bishop (2) and Beth Everson.
Danni added: “Liverton gave us a great game, but our pace overpowered them and we came out on top. Super happy to be in the final of the Devon Cup – there’s been a massive turnaround at this club, and everyone has worked so hard, it’s an incredible achievement.”
Torquay, riding high in the South West Women’s League Premier Division, will face Exeter City, who play in the higher level FA Women’s National League Division One South West, in the Click Hub Devon Cup final.
