An epic new feature film from Alejandro Monteverde, award-winning director of ๐๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฏ๐ฅ ๐ฐ๐ง ๐๐ณ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฅ๐ฐ๐ฎ, tells the story of Francesca Cabrini, the USA’s first saint.
An Italian immigrant who arrives in New York City in 1889, she is greeted by disease, crime, and impoverished children.
Starring Italian TV star Cristiana DellโAnna in the title role, Cabrini shows how she used her entrepreneurial spirit, faith, and determination to build an empire of hope unlike anything the world had ever seen.
Over the course of 34 years she established 67 hospitals, orphanages, and schools.
Also starring Oscar nominee John Lithgow, Cabrini is receiving previews on 8 March ahead of a UK and Ireland theatrical release on 15 March – timed to coincide with International Women’s Day and Mothering Sunday.
The film is the subject of the latest post in our associated arts and entertainment blog, Piece of Pink Pie.
