We have been back in the virtual training room this week, delivering another session of copywriting advice to marketing officers at Loughborough University.
We recently completed a series of four copywriting training sessions for the award-winning university. And the web and digital team invited us to run another (on Wednesday 25 May) for those who missed out.
“It was a very useful session,” said web and digital manager, Jonathan Walters. “It included some points which were new to me, and it reminded me of things I’d forgotten.”
Jonathan initially invited us to deliver the training after a highly praised course which we ran last year for City, University of London, building on our experience of major copywriting projects for universities, including Swansea, Southampton, Cardiff, and City.
The sessions, run by senior consultant Andy Weltch and writer Mark Hawkins, covered: getting started; approaching your writing project; writing for different audiences; writing persuasively; and avoiding common mistakes.
Previous feedback has included: “Really great session, thank you!” and “very helpful” and “very comprehensive”.
Loughborough has been named the best university in the world for sports-related subjects for the sixth year running by the global QS higher education league table, based on its reputation in academia and industry, as well as its research impact.
It was University of the Year at the WhatUni? Student Choice Awards in 2020, 2018, and 2015. It has also been University of the Year in the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide twice.
