The latest page-turning crime thriller from best-selling author Cara Hunter hits the bookstores this summer.
Our companion arts and entertainment blog Piece of Pink Pie has published an interview with Cara, after reading a preview copy of her sensational new book, Murder in the Family.
It marks a change of direction for Cara – it’s her first novel without her regular main character DI Adam Fawley, and she presents it in a radical new format.
The book has no narrator – no descriptive prose to guide us along: just the characters (a varied bunch of investigators), their words and the various documents they discover during the investigation.
As the blog post explains: “The range of characters assembled would grace any Agatha Christie story, and as they dig deeper, the book takes the reader through a series of twists and turns until … well, you can find out when it’s published in July (2023)”.
