Historian and actor Adrian Charlton has produced a timeline of Hammer horror films – a guide to when the events featured in these classic movies took place.
Our companion arts and entertainment blog has reproduced this chronology in its lastest post – though as Adrian points out “It’s a rough guide really: some of the dates of the events in the films could be debated, especially the Dracula series. As with these kind of things, they’re always open to interpretation.”
Although not comprehensive, it covers a huge timespan from the prehistoric adventures in One Million Years BC to The Satanic Rites of Dracula, set in 1974.
