The multi-award-winning Stephen Daldry production of J.B.Priestley’s classic thriller An Inspector Calls is again touring the UK and Ireland.
This powerful adaptation of a favourite set-text played to a packed house at the New Theatre when it opened in Cardiff last night (Tuesday March 10), and our senior consultant Andrew Weltch was in the audience to review it for our companion hyperlocal site, Rhiwbina Info.
He writes: “This is a dynamic and physical interpretation, which hammers home Priestley’s message about social injustice – making it as relevant today as in 1945 when it was first performed, 1912 when it is set, and 1992 when this production was first staged”.

An Inspector Calls plays Cardiff’s New Theatre until Saturday (March 14), when it travels to Cambridge, Glasgow, Guildford, Sheffield, Sunderland, Coventry, Dublin, Dartford, and Leicester.
