Congratulations to our friends at RD Simsport on another successful night in the latest event on the Backfire Simsport TCR Challenge (Wednesday 15 January).
The Weltch Media-backed cars won both the sprint race and the feature at Okayama, Japan, and gained the fastest lap in both races too.
Race 1 results: 1st Greg Daffron (RD, pole & fastest lap), 4th Daniel Mills (RD II), 9th Martin Shirley (RD, 1st in Pro Am), 12th Chris Young (RD III, 3rd in Pro-Am), 14th Callam Brant (RD III), 26th Rob Sutherland (RD II 1st in Am), 34th Rob Jackson (RD II 8th in Am), 36th James Holman (RD).
Race 2: 1st Callam Brant (RD III), 6th Daniel Mills (RD II), 9th Greg Daffron (RD), 10th James Holman (RD & fastest lap), 12th Martin Shirley (RD, 2nd in Pro Am), 24th Rob Sutherland (RD II, 1st in Am), 33rd Rob Jackson (RD II 6th in Am), 39th Chris Young (RD III 14th in Pro Am).
“It was a great night for the team, if personally disappointing,” James Holman told us. “My pace was great, and that showed by coming from 36th into the top 10, on the back of the lead pack. Greg and Cal did great to win both races, and Martin and Rob had stellar performances in their classes too.”
