In an interview on the FA website’s Women’s Competitions section, the Torquay United Women’s club captain recounts how Jordan – who died earlier this year – encouraged her to return to the game in her teens.
She also talks movingly of the ways she is still reminded of his presence – including by adopting the squad number 31, Jordan’s age when he died.
