Our sponsored player Danni Wyatt and her Torquay United teammates have celebrated their successful season at the club’s annual awards presentation.
Danni created one of the highlights of the evening when she read a poem she’d written to sum up the 2022-23 campaign, which saw the team promoted as South West Women’s League Premier Division champions.
She also received a bottle as a thank-you for running the team’s media pages and graphics, and the players signed a pair of boots for her to commemorate her 100 appearances.

Supporters’ player – Ocean Latto
Most improved player – Emma Ayres
Top scorer – Connie Pengelly
Goal of the season – Sasha Mole
Club person of the season – Sasha Mole
Manager’s player of the season – Rhi Bailey
Players’ player of the season – Tracey Cross.
We first sponsored Danni in the 2017/18 campaign, when she helped Torquay to third place in the league and to the final of the Devon Cup and won the goal of the season award.
Last season she helped Torquay to a sensational victory in the Devon FA Cup Final and was named club player of the season.
And in 2020, she was among our friends who featured in the popular comedy promo video With a T.
