BAFTA-winning TV star Ruth Jones has returned to the stage in The Nightingales, currently touring the UK before it arrives in the West End.
Our companion hyperlocal site, Rhiwbina Info, reviewed its opening night in Cardiff last night (November 19), and described is as “a thought-provoking and enthralling exploration of community and how we treat outsiders”.
Following the personal ups and downs of members of a small-town acapella singing group, the review says it is “a super little drama, which delivers laughter, shocks and a few tears, as well as some beautifully performed songs”.
You can read the full review here.
The Nightingales runs at Cardiff’s New Theatre until Saturday (November 24), and then visits Chichester and Malvern before its West End run.
