Our Torquay Utd LFC player Danni Wyatt is set to make her debut in a different shade of yellow this weekend for – Buckland Athletic Development team.
Danni, who plays striker with Torquay in the South West Women’s Premier League, has signed a dual-contract with Buckland, giving her extra training and more game-time, when available.
“I feel really excited to play in a different level of football and see how my skills mark up,” she said. “I grew up playing in development leagues so this for me will be a test to see how much I have progressed with Torquay – if at all!”
Buckland Development team play away to Horrabridge Rangers LFC in the Devon Women’s Premier Division on Sunday (April 22) at 2pm.
“I’m really looking forward to a victory in a different shirt,” she added. “This is taking nothing away from my love for Torquay but with no game scheduled, the extra minutes will be a massive boost for my confidence and fitness. I know I have a few goals up my sleeve ready to be unleashed this season.”
Danni tells us she has recovered from her shoulder and ankle injuries, and is due to return to boxing next week too!
