Congratulations to Torquay United Women and our sponsored player Danni Wyatt for a decisive win yesterday (Sunday 30 March) on their big day at Plainmoor.
Danni came off the subs’ bench late in the second half to help see out a 4-0 win over Bishops Lydeard, which maintains the team’s push for promotion from the South West Regional Women’s League into the FA National League.
“It was a great day,” Danni told us. “There were about 250 people there, which is fantastic support.
“We dominated the game and some very good goals scored today by Lucy Solloway, Emily Elliot, Ellie Bishop and Tee Kaptein.
“I only played the last 15 minutes, but a great showcase and what a fantastic opportunity for us to be out at Plainmoor – you just can’t beat the view!”
In 2022, she helped Torquay to a sensational victory in the Devon FA Cup Final and was named club player of the season.
