Jean Marchetti was a musician who fell on hard times.
Suffering ill health and with arthritis in her hands, she could no longer play her guitar, and she found herself living in rented accommodation in London.
The latest post on our companion arts and entertainment blog Piece of Pink Pie explains how, inspired by her story, singer-songwriter David Myers of The 1957 Tail-Fin Fiasco wrote a song about her.
The song led to a whole solo album First Light Dynamite under a new identity, The Brothers El Camino.
Sadly, Jean died before she could hear the song, but her memory lives on in David’s moving tribute.
You can read more about her and the new album on the blog here.
