Danielle Wyatt, our sponsored player at Torquay United Ladies FC (TULFC), has contributed to a special video to celebrate International Women’s Day.
Danni and teammate Dani Garland are among the women (and some men) from around the world, who appear on the nine-minute video, which asks What Does International Women’s Day Mean to You?
The Gullettes duo highlight some of the challenges and achievements which have been faced by women’s soccer and individual players over the years.
The video, released earlier this month, was commissioned by the Asian Restaurant Owners Network (ARON) and the Bombay Express restaurant in Torquay, who like us are supporters of TULFC.
Bombay Express also marked International Women’s Day with a celebratory event in the restaurant, including performances from local artists, discounts for women customers, and the announcement of a pay rise for staff! The event has received widespread praise.
Belated congrats to Danni and Dani, and to Bombay Express for this excellent initiative.
