The highly acclaimed production of the award-winning musical Chicago arrived in Cardiff this week (June 20-25) as part of its UK tour.
Our companion hyperlocal site Rhiwbina Info was there to review its opening night at the city’s New Theatre, describing it as “a non-stop cavalcade of catchy numbers and sensational dance routines performed by a faultless cast and a superb on-stage orchestra under the direction of Andrew Hilton – who also gets involved in the performance!”
The reviewer, our senior consultant Andy Weltch, added: “The show’s best known hits include All That Jazz, Razzle Dazzle, and Cell Block Tango, but you could easily find yourself whistling or humming any of the show’s 20-or-so tunes on the way home.”
Chicago is in Cardiff until Saturday when it moves to Blackpool, Sheffield, Norwich, Oxford, and Llandudno.
