We are excited to announce we are co-sponsoring Castleford Tigers Women player Zoe Watson for the rest of the Women’s Super League Season.
A former rugby union player, Zoe has represented the Army Development Team and GB Police in the 15-a-side code, as well as playing at community clubs.
She started playing rugby league in February 2020 and made her debut for the Army Rugby League team as a prop that same month, but then the pandemic hit and she fell pregnant.
She has been training with Castleford Tigers Women since April after being invited to train with the support of her cousin, Shona Hoyle. She recently made her debut against St Helens as a replacement second row, and has also trained with the backs.
Zoe is a Sergeant in the British Army and works as a Serious and Complex Crime investigator in the Royal Military Police. She’s married with two daughters.
“I’m very grateful to Weltch Media for the sponsorship,” she said. “It means a great deal to me and to Castleford Tigers Women.”
The co-sponsorship has arisen following the departure of our previously co-sponsored Cas player Kelsey Gentles for York City Knights, where we continue to sponsor her.
Sport is one of our specialist areas, so if you’re involved in sport and looking for PR or communications support, see what we offer.
