After a successful run in London’s West End, the stage adaptation of The Girl on the Train is completing a UK tour.
Our senior consultant Andrew Weltch reviewed the opening night of its week in Cardiff (November 12) for our companion hyperlocal site, Rhiwbina Info, describing it as “in some ways an old-fashioned thriller β and one which kept me guessing until the end. But itβs much more than that β exploring profound issues such as loneliness, motherhood, and relationships”.
It stars Samantha Womack in the central role as lonely commuter Rachel Watson, who finds herself a witness, suspect, and even amateur investigator after a woman goes missing.
The Girl on the Train plays at Cardiff’s New Theatre until Saturday before moving on to Blackpool Winter Gardens from November 19.
